A Word from the Archmage's Desk
Greetings, adventurers!
There comes a point in every worthy campaign when a hero's character sheet ceases to be a document and becomes an archaeological artifact. Numbers are erased and rewritten until the parchment grows thin. Potions appear and vanish. Coins are counted, spent, and counted again. Somewhere beneath a maze of pencil marks lies the original hit point total—at least, so the legends claim.
Many such sheets have reached my study looking as though they were rescued from the ashes of the Great Library of Alexandria. Their margins are filled with cryptic notes, hastily drawn maps, forgotten spells, and calculations that would puzzle even the finest court mathematicians.
Naturally, one might suggest replacing these venerable relics with a magical device no larger than the palm of one's hand.
A splendid idea... until one attempts to fit an entire adventuring career onto a screen scarcely larger than a tavern coaster.
Some scrolling is inevitable. Even the greatest spell cannot bend space quite that far.
So rather than trying to show everything at once, we continue to refine RPGMeister with a different philosophy: reveal what matters when it matters. The app should quietly guide you through your adventure, placing the right information at your fingertips instead of making you hunt through endless menus and forgotten tabs.
The finest companions know when to speak and when to remain silent. We believe software should do the same.
Now, enough reading. Your Game Master has undoubtedly prepared fresh dangers, questionable taverns, and at least one dragon that is “perfectly balanced.”
May your dice roll true, your inventory remain organized, and your eraser enjoy a well-earned retirement.
